Threads Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Chapka processes data for its Threads API integration used for public keyword monitoring and mention reports.

Effective date: July 5, 2026.

1. Service purpose

The Chapka Threads integration helps users monitor public Threads posts that mention selected keywords or topics. The service can display matching public posts, generate a keyword report, and send alerts when new public posts are found.

2. Data we may collect

We may process the following data:

  • the Threads user ID of the authenticated user;
  • the authenticated user's Threads username;
  • Threads API access tokens required to operate the integration;
  • search keywords and monitoring settings entered by the user;
  • public Threads posts found by keyword search;
  • public post fields such as post text, author username, timestamp, media type, permalink, and post ID.

3. How we use data

We use this data only to:

  • authenticate the user's Threads integration;
  • run public keyword searches requested by the user;
  • show matching public posts in the monitoring dashboard;
  • generate keyword monitoring reports;
  • send alerts about new matching public posts;
  • prevent duplicate notifications for the same public post.

We do not publish posts on behalf of users. We do not sell Threads data. We do not use Threads data for user profiling or targeted advertising.

4. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share Threads API data with third parties except where required by law or where a service provider is needed to operate the notification or hosting infrastructure.

5. Storage and retention

Access tokens and monitoring settings are stored only as long as needed to operate the integration. Public search results may be stored to prevent duplicate alerts and to support keyword reports. Users can request deletion at any time.

6. Security

We use HTTPS and standard server-side access controls to protect stored integration data. Access tokens are not exposed in the public dashboard.

7. Data deletion

To request deletion of your data collected through our Threads API integration, email us at support@chapka.cloud with the subject Threads Data Deletion.

We will delete your Threads user ID, access tokens, saved keywords, notification settings, and stored search results associated with your account within 30 days.
